A witness gave a description of the shooter’s vehicle and officers located the suspect’s vehicle in the 200 block of South Portland.
At this time a male exited the vehicle holding an assault rifle. Officers gave orders for the subject to drop his weapon. The suspect then opened fire on the officers.
An officer returned fire, wounding the suspect. The suspect was taken into custody and identified as Rudy F. Relue of Napoleon, Ohio. Rudy was then transported by Life Flight to St. Vincent’s hospital Toledo Ohio. His condition at his time is unavailable.
