The Multi-Area Narcotics Unit conducted a several month investigation involving the distribution of large quantities of high grade marijuana. The center of the hub was Stryker, Ohio but involved distribution to WilliamsCounty, PutnamCounty and DefianceCounty.
M.A.N. Unit officers traveled to Houston, Texas last week where they worked with local authorities from the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. A search warrant was conducted in Houston, Texas where 40 pounds of marijuana, a large sum of money, and several firearms were confiscated. As a result of the search warranted Texas authorities arrested Edgar Henry Santana, age 24, of Houston, Texas.
Officers returned to Ohio where local arrests were made of seven individuals: Lon W. Miller, age 61, of 13618 County Road 171, Defiance, Ohio; Angela Saman, age 48, of 15799 Harris Road, Defiance, Ohio; Karissa Mann, age 20, of 201 N. Harrison Street, Sherwood, Ohio; Matthew Randolph, age 35, of 202 E. Curtis Street, Stryker, Ohio; Sean Oehler, age 34, of 6609 State Route 66N, Lot 107, Defiance, Ohio; Brandon Taylor, age 26, of 105 N. Garfield Street, Stryker, Ohio; and Carl Blankenship, age 37, of 105 Pleasant Street, Stryker, Ohio. Charges will include Aggravated Trafficking of Marijuana and Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity. The cases will be presented to the Williams County Grand Jury later this month while additional arrests and charges are pending.
The M.A.N. Unit was assisted by Williams County Prosecutor, Thomas A. Thompson, Williams County Sheriff’s Office, Bryan Police Department, Stryker Police Department, and West Unity Police Department.
