The Police Department has received several calls of people going door to door selling books and magazines.
We do have a group from South Western Advantage that has obtained a permit from the Mayor’s Office to be able to go to houses and try to sell children’s books.
The permit is valid during daylight hours on weekdays.

We also received information of a rumor on Facebook that a company from Texas was going door to door trying to sell magazines in Fulton County. The rumor has it that their real purpose was to kidnap children and that they had taken a child from Fulton County. The kidnapping rumor is false. We checked with Fulton County to verify this.
